Sweet success at Laurens Patisserie
Laurens Patisserie in Nottinghamshire, has installed an effluent monitoring station manufactured by PPM. The system comprises a Protoc Spyder and Web TOC analyser with a separate pH instrument to monitor and record effluent discharge quality. The instrumentation which was pre-installed within a walkin analyser kiosk will facilitate investigative research, identifying the causes of peak-load discharge and to minimise waste as required under the new IPPC regulations.
Colart paint the right impression
Colart which is an artistic-paint manufacturer based in Harrow, have taken delivery of an effluent monitoring station manufactured by PPM. The system which continuously monitors TOC, Turbidity - suspended solids, pH and Flow ensure compliance of a batch discharge of treated effluent to sewer.
July 2003
BMW order PPM surface-water monitoring and control system
The Cowley site which manufactures the new highly acclaimed Mini, has commissioned PPM to engineer a pollution monitoring station, to ensure surface water discharge from the site meets strict water quality standards. Should a spillage occur, the monitoring system has been designed to output alarms to the site Scada system enabling isolation of the discharge so remedial action can be taken.
Korea’s EMC choose PPM instruments for river water monitoring project
EMC is a Korean government funded company and has purchased through our local distributor-Dongmoon Scientific, four Protoc 200 TOC analysers. The analysers are to be installed into monitoring kiosks which will be strategically located along the watercourse.
June 2003
A Leading Soft Drinks Manufacturer Installs Protoc Analyser
A leading international soft drinks manufacturer has installed a Protoc 200 TOC analyser at their London site to continuously monitor the incoming water quality. The analyser ranged 0-10 PPM TOC continuously monitors the incoming town’s water for seasonal fluctuations in organic loading thought to be attributed to polysaccharide. These carbohydrate compounds are starchy polymers which can precipitate out of solution affecting beverage quality. The analyser will therefore provide real-time trending allowing remedial action to be taken should concentrations exceed a threshold value.
China Buys Protoc TOC
The Jiangsu Province Suzhou Guangfu municipal waste-water treatment works near Shanghai, took delivery of a top of the range Protoc Spyder and Web TOC system this month. The analyser is to be installed as part of a number of environmental measures to upgrade the works and monitor final effluent quality. The works serves a population which is about eighty thousand people and an expanding industrial base including aquiculture, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and engineering companies. The PPM distributor “Shanghai Environmental Source Environmental Company” will assist PPM during the installation and will subsequently provide technical support and a service contract once the instrument is commissioned.
