Dairy Crest, Totnes take delivery of surface water monitoring station
An engineered analyser kiosk containing the Protoc Spyder and Web system for TOC measurement and an IQ Sensor Net system for pH & Turbidity measurement was delivered to the Dairy Crest site this month. The instrumentation will continuously monitor surface water and output signals are connected to the Terminator which can automatically inflate a bladder in a discharge pipe, should any contamination be detected.
November 2002
EQS take delivery of river monitoring station for Severn Trent Water
A river monitoring station comprising the IQ Sensor Net system has been engineered by PPM to measure Turbidity, Dissolved Oxygen, pH and Conductivity and provide real-time measurement data. The system was pre-installed within a small GRP kiosk to provide additional weather protection and reduce installation time.
Wessex Water place orders for additional IQ Sensor Net systems
Two more IQ Sensor Net Systems have been ordered for final effluent monitoring applications. The systems comprise the C184 controller with Visoturb sensor.
October 2002
Wessex Water Purchase IQ Sensor Net Systems for Final Effluent
Wessex Water bulk purchased eight number IQ Sensor Net Systems to measure turbidity on final effluent on seven different sites. The IQ Sensor Net System distributed by PPM, was chosen over rival instruments because of the high specification, competitive pricing and versatility of the system. The system comprises the C184 multi-input /output controller-display unit with the Visoturb turbidity sensor, featuring continuous ultrasonic cleaning.
Pfizer take delivery of condensate return instrumentation from PPM

Rolls Royce take delivery of PPM analysers for the Powergen Liverpool CHP project
The second phase of the instrument supply has been completed this month with three analyser kiosks leaving the PPM Sevenoaks office bound for Liverpool. Four additional conductivity monitors and four pH units where supplied to measure boiler water quality and compliment the TOC and pH monitors already supplied.
Wick Airport place order for Protoc® TOC instrumentation
Wick Airport has placed an order for three Protoc® TOC analysers to be installed in to individual analyser kiosks, also to be engineered by PPM. The instrumentation will be used to measure surface water quality which during the winter can be contaminated by Glycol, used as an antifreeze agent.
Innogy purchase oil on water detection from PPM
PPM has received orders to supply oil on water detection systems for two different Innogy sites which will continuously monitor discharges for visible traces of oil. The Isle of White installation will be using the DKK ODL12 laser as already installed at the Didcot, Oxon site. A third detection system will also be installed at the Didcot site.

May2002
Coors Brewers take delivery of more Protoc® TOC analysers
Coors Brewers have just taken delivery of a number of TOC analyser kiosks to measure the drainage system for product loss. The company has now installed seven such systems, at two different sites, used to minimise waste and optimise process control.
Hardham WTW, Southern Water instrumentation fully commissioned
PPM supplied a package of instrumentation worth over £80,000 to Paterson Candy during 2001, which required final commissioning. Training was also provided to operational staff at the Water Treatment Works. Instrumentation included monitors reporting pH, conductivity, DO, Ammonia, particle size and turbidity.
April 2002
PPM supply two Protoc® TOC analysers to Severn TRent Water to measure THM’s
Two Protoc® TOC analysers were supplied to Severn Tent Water to measure THM’s which can be produced following ozone treatment, used as a disinfection process on potable water. The Protoc® analyser continuously reports the organic water quality, which can contribute to THM production.
Two TOC monitors supplied for Broken Scar Project
PPM has received an order to supply two TOC monitors to the Broken Scar Project. The instruments will be used to continuously monitor on-line, the organic water quality pre and post GAC treatment.
March 2002
Stansted International Airport commission PPM to upgrade surface water monitors
