Site Commissioning

& Product Training

Site Commissioning

Pollution & Process Monitoring (PPM) employ five instrument engineers, dedicated to field- based support of our water quality instrumentation which we manufacture and supply throughout the UK.

Instrument and Bespoke System Commissioning

Whilst many of our customers are familiar with our product line, there may be instances where we need to attend site, to provide commissioning and training - the client may have appointed an intermediate M&E contractor or the end user does not have the complete skill set, required to make a new installation operational.
Once the instrumentation has been physically mounted, with power and signals connected, PPM can attend site to complete the commissioning and provide training as required.
Commissioning may include initial inspection, making final connections of any ancillaries or associated sample acquisition / sample preparation system, instrument validation against known calibration standards, ensuring correct operational performance of instrument and validating output signals to the site telemetry or to the GSM communication network.

Product Training

We also typically provide instrument training to site operators during the commissioning visit, on all aspects of the operation and maintenance so any responsible site operatives have the best understanding possible. This transfer of knowledge can be very beneficial to achieve optimal instrument performance even in the instance where PPM is contracted to undertake regular planned maintenance. Good instrument knowledge allows site personnel to identify potential failure before it occurs so a more proactive approach to maintenance can be implemented.

Aftercare Service and Reagent Supply

In addition to providing the site commissioning and planned maintenance, PPM can also provide service contracts to provide planned maintenance which may include for consumables, advise on critical spares holding, schedule regular reagent deliveries to support optimal continuity of measurement and advise on bespoke measurement systems, to satisfy site specific requirements.
