Service and Support
Pollution & Process Monitoring (PPM) employ a number of well qualified qualified instrument engineers, dedicated to field-based support of our water quality instrumentation which we manufacture and supply throughout the UK.
Whilst we typically provide comprehensive operator training on all aspects of instrument operation and associated maintenance, many customers especially within the industrial, manufacturing and airport sectors, contract PPM to undertake planned maintenance.
Planned Instrument Maintenance
The number of scheduled visits throughout the year is often dependent upon the type and number of instruments installed, the application and the difficulties it presents and the amount of site operator involvement.
Service Contracts
Service contracts can therefore be tailored to individual site requirements and in the simplest form may require a single visit per year to validate performance but often require two, four or an even more frequent schedule should PPM take on full responsibility.
For analytical installations using reagent-based chemistry, full responsibility may include changing out the reagents, cleaning filtration/sample preparation systems and performing manual calibrations to maintain optimal instrument performance.
Simpler electro-chemical and optical probe measurement devices may require less frequent site attendance but may still benefit from regular chemical cleaning and manual calibration which can also be performed by PPM.
Where service contracts are implemented, PPM can also provide emergency call out cover at a reduced hourly rate in addition to the planned visits.
Reagent Supply & Bespoke Systems
In addition to providing the planned maintenance, PPM can also schedule regular reagent deliveries to support optimal continuity of measurement and advise on bespoke measurement systems to satisfy site specific requirements.
